Definitions:
Page=An HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) document that may contain text, images, or media objects.
Page View=when the page is actually seen by the user.
Visit=Number of times the specified visitor visited your site. A visit is a series of actions that begins when a visitor views their first page from the server, and ends when the visitor leaves the site or remains idle beyond the time limit.

  • Please submit ads as .jpg, .gif, .swf, .png, <html> snippet, <IFRAME>, or javascript format.
  • Please keep file size under 50 KB (preferably under 25 KB).
  • Flash file sizes: 25K Initial Load, 50K Subsequent Loads.
  • Advertisers submitting Flash files must make sure click through URL opens in a new window, and that ad clicks are trackable.
  • Advertisers submitting HTML tags are responsible for making sure that tags are compatible with our ad server and do not slow down delivery of the website. Backup images are strongly recommended.
  • Preferred image resolution: 72 dpi.
  • Maximum number of loops: 3.
  • Third-Party Served accepted. 40k maximum size for third-party served ads.
  • Flash 4 or 5 preferred with no embedded click-throughs.
  • We require a border around all creative. We reserve the right to place a 1 pixel border around any advertising banner if necessary.
  • Button-initiated audio only—rollover audio is not permitted. Ads must include both a Play button and a Mute button.
  • All Flash and other rich media ads needs to be pre-approved before acceptance.
  • We tend not to accept intrusive pop-up, pop-under, floating, layered, Interstitial, or oversized ads.
  • Linking URLs must be domain name based and cannot be the IP address.
  • Advertisements cannot mislead the user. For example, they may not mimic or resemble Windows/Mac/Unix dialogue boxes, error messages, or the like.
  • Advertisements cannot contain graphics that simulate interactivity (i.e., drop down menus, search boxes, etc.) without that functionality actually existing.
  • Method attribute for any forms must be "get" (not "post")
  • Ads must open a new window when clicked on.
  • Some button and tile ads may be sold on a monthly basis with no guarantee of page views or click-throughs.
  • All advertisements will be reviewed by us and are subject to approval before placement.
  • Materials due 3 business days prior to start of campaign; 5 business days prior for Rich Media.
