Note to SF Weekly (and the other Village Voice Media papers that are running the same story this week):

Hunter Thompson is dead. He shot himself in 2005, in Woody Creek, Colorado. His remains, per his wishes, were fired out of a cannon.

Many have tried to copy his style; all have failed, each effort more pathetic than the one before. You're failing, too. Give it up.

Speaking of Village Voice Media, did they ever pay Bruce the money he won from the lawsuit?

If so, did Bruce share it with any of the employees he made redundant? Did Bruce share any of the money he made by selling the SFBG property to an evil for-profit company with all his former employees who lost their jobs?

Redundant workers deserve some of the money

They keep bringing it up because the question has never been answered.

When companies sell off all of their assets after laying off most of their employees, shouldn't the people who have been made redundant received some of the money?

CEO Bruce should be compensating those poor people who have lost their jobs with some of the filthy lucre he received from the for-profit corporation that bought the Guardian's building.

Right?
